03 · Flagship — switchable PDLC

Privacy at the flick of sixty-five volts.

A PDLC film laminated between two lites of low-iron glass: opaque white at rest, optically clear under power, switching faster than the eye tracks. Laminated in our own layup room — not a resold import — so busbar placement, edge deletion and wiring exits follow your drawings.

Every switchable panel is cycle-tested before it ships, and every one carries a serial for traceability.

Daylight deep into the floor plate without giving up acoustic separation. Butt-glazed runs, sliders and framed fronts, with switchable lites where meeting privacy matters.

06 · How we make it

Cut
Step 01

Cut

Low-iron float stock is CNC-cut, drilled and notched to the drawing. Tolerance held to ±1/32 in — every hole placed before heat, because after tempering nothing moves again.

Step 02

Edge & polish

Flat polish or pencil edge to spec; every edge belt-seamed before the furnace. Edge quality decides whether a lite survives the quench.

Step 03

Temper

Horizontal furnace at 620 °C, then air quench to ASTM C1048 FT. Surface compression is what turns a pane into safety glass.

Step 04

Wash & inspect

De-ionized wash and optical scan. Surface defects fail here, on our floor — not on your site during punch list.

Step 05

Laminate

PVB, SGP or PDLC film laid up in a climate-controlled room, then autoclaved. Busbars and wiring exits land exactly where the shop drawing put them.

Step 06

Test & ship

Every switchable panel is cycled before crating and tagged with a serial tying it to its layup record. Crated vertical, delivered on our schedule commitment.
